Questions

Storage questions, answered — Magnolia, TX

The things people actually call and ask. If yours isn't here, call us — someone who works here will pick up.

Renting

Getting a unit

What do I need to rent a unit?

A valid government-issued photo ID and a payment method. That's it — you can do the whole thing online in about ten minutes, including signing the rental agreement.

Do I have to sign a long lease?

No. Storage here is month to month. You sign a rental agreement rather than a fixed-term lease, so you stay as long as you need and give notice when you're done.

Can I rent without coming to the office?

Yes. Availability, pricing, the agreement and your first payment are all handled online, any hour of the day. Your gate code is issued as part of that process, so you can move in the same night.

How do I know what size I need?

Start with the size guide — every unit is compared to something you already own. If you're between two sizes, take the bigger one; you'll want a walkway down the middle. Or call and describe what you're storing.

Do you have RV and boat spaces?

Yes — open, covered and fully enclosed, in lengths up to 40 feet, with a dump station on site. See RV & boat storage. Covered and enclosed spaces are popular and sometimes run a waiting list.

Access & security

Getting in and out

How does gate access work?

You're issued a personal keypad code at move-in. Punch it at the gate and drive in. The code is active 24 hours a day, seven days a week — office hours and gate hours are two different things.

Can I get in outside office hours?

Yes. The office is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but your gate code works any hour. Early mornings and Sunday evenings are the two busiest times we see.

Do you provide a lock?

You bring your own lock and keep the only key — nobody here has a copy. For a roll-up door a disc lock is the right choice; it's much harder to cut than a padlock.

Is the property secured?

The property is gated with keypad entry and covered by digital video surveillance, with staff on site during office hours. No facility can promise nothing will ever happen, but a coded gate, cameras and people walking the rows are what actually help.

Can someone else access my unit?

Only if you arrange it with us. Don't share your gate code — if a spouse, employee or family member needs their own access, come by or call and we'll set it up properly.

Storing & insurance

What goes in the unit

What can't I store?

Nothing flammable, explosive, hazardous, perishable or living. That means no fuel, propane, fireworks, chemicals, food, plants or animals — and nothing illegal. Drain the fuel and disconnect the battery on mowers and generators before they go in.

Do I need insurance?

Your belongings are your responsibility while they're in storage. Many homeowner and renter policies extend some cover to off-site storage — check yours. We'll go over the requirement with you when you rent.

Is climate control worth it?

For furniture, electronics, photos, documents, instruments, artwork and leather — yes. A closed metal unit gets hot and the humidity swings with every storm. For tools, patio furniture and lawn equipment, a standard unit is fine.

Can I store a car, truck or trailer?

Yes. Vehicles, work trucks, trailers and boats can go in open, covered or enclosed spaces, or in a large drive-up unit. Vehicles need to be registered, insured and operable — talk to us if yours is a project.

Billing & moving out

Paying and leaving

How do I pay my bill?

Online through the tenant portal, any hour of the day. You can pay as you go or set up automatic payments so it takes care of itself. See pay my bill.

When is rent due?

Monthly, on the same date each month from your move-in. Autopay is the simplest way to avoid a late fee, and you can turn it off whenever you like.

What if I need a different size later?

Call us. If we have the size you want, moving between units on the same property is usually straightforward — much easier than moving to a different facility.

How do I move out?

Give us notice, empty the unit, sweep it out and take your lock off. Leaving the lock on means the unit still reads as occupied, so that last step matters.

Still have a question?

Call during office hours and you'll get someone who works at the facility, not a call center. Or check what's open and rent online right now.
